Boat trips exploring Chichester Harbour

Chichester Harbour Water Tours is the original tour operating company based in Itchenor.

Set up by Peter Adams after leaving Rhodesia with his family he started working for the harbour master Commander Ian Mackie with whose help he found a suitable boat suitable boat. Since then the business has grown and was taken over by Adam Shaw who runs two charter boats , a commercial fishing boat as well as Chichester Harbour Water Tours. He is passionate about the harbour and its surrounding area and enjoys introducing new people to its beautiful vistas and scenery. He tends to run the fishing trip side of the business with Warrick the chief skipper operating the harbour tours.

Pizza & pasta

One of the very few authentic Italian restaurants that offers anchovies as a topping, Cider House is a good choice for lunch when in Chichester Harbour. Offering a friendly, relaxed and informal setting where one can enjoy great food with family and friends. They serve a rustic, casual menu including freshly made pizza and pasta using imported Italian ingredients.

Coffee

Generally I will try to steer clear of Bosham.

It is a destination, a picturesque historic village which is always heaving with day trippers. But I made the mistake of dropping by the PopIn micro-cafe. If I remember correctly I was after a Thai sausage roll from the Shoreside Cafe which I had spotted on the net.

Needless to say bthe menu has since changed and I wandered up the road looking for something different, if it was not the Thai sausage roll.

As a cafe it is small, very small.

But the pies and cakes and light bites on display different. They look tempting and homemade. Not sure about the coffee but if the sausage roll I tucked into is anything to go by I am certain it is as good as they claim.

Wors rolls

[Edit] Menu has been changed. At fifteen quid a time it was expensive and doubt there was enough demand. But a nice idea while it lasted. Nothing local anymore.

At long last a boerie roll that does not involve a long trek to Brighton, Bournemouth or Liphook.
